Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a crucial security feature designed to enhance the safety of your online banking experience at Contoso. 2FA adds an additional layer of protection by requiring two forms of verification before granting access to your account. Typically, this involves something you know (your password) and something you have (a temporary code sent to your mobile device or email). To enable 2FA, log into your online banking account and navigate to the security settings. Follow the prompts to activate the feature and select your preferred method for receiving authentication codes. Once activated, every time you log in from an unrecognized device, you will be prompted to enter a verification code in addition to your password. This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access, as even if someone obtains your password, they would also need the second form of verification. At Contoso, we recommend all customers enable two-factor authentication to enhance their account security. If you have questions about setting up 2FA, our customer service team is ready to assist you.
